From chaos to lean, agile delivery.
I lead engineering organizations through the messy middle — taking teams from chaotic, ad-hoc practices to lean, agile delivery, and taking codebases from brittle monoliths to scalable, containerized services.
Over five years I grew development from a handful of engineers to 30+ across seven focused teams, re-architected our platform off bare metal, and built an information security program that clears annual SOC 1 & SOC 2 Type II and customer audits. I split my time between technical strategy, architecture decisions, and the people work that makes both stick.
How I build teams.
Chaos to cadence, people past the roles I gave them, and systems built for the next 10x — without slowing the business or spending its customers’ trust.
Grow people, not just headcount
Mentorship and specialization scale an org further than hiring alone. The goal is engineers who outgrow the roles you gave them.
Chaos into cadence
I meet teams where they are, then move them to a lean, agile rhythm — without breaking the momentum that got them there.
Architect for the next 10x
Decompose what is brittle before it breaks. Design for the scale you do not have yet, so growth is a tailwind instead of a fire.
Security is an enabler, not a gate
The right controls let the business move fast and keep customer trust. Audits become a byproduct of how you already work.
Lead by doing
I stay in the code and the architecture. Credibility with engineers comes from still being able to do the work beside them.
Nineteen years, one throughline: scale what works.
